InRussia conference was inspired by and determined as a development of the annual international investment Forum "Industrial Parks of Russia", which was first organized in Moscow in 2010 as the initiative of infrastructure market members and the All-Russian Public Organization "Business Russia" and has been held annually since then. At the
First Forum on the 22 of April in 2010, it was decided to create a specialized industry institution - the Association of Industrial Parks of Russia, which has since been the organizer of the Forum for many years and to this day continues to work actively to promote the development of industrial infrastructure in Russia.
The concept of the event remains unchanged since 2010 – it is a presentation of the industrial infrastructure of Russia for the Russian and international business community. For this reason, the business program of the event is accompanied by an exhibition of industrial parks and special economic zones. Already at the first Forum, about 50 industrial parks of Russia were presented in exhibition format and the first catalogue of industrial sites was issued.
In different years the plenary meeting of the Forum was attended by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation D.V.Manturov, top officials of 10 regions of Russia, heads of the largest international and Russian companies, heads of leading business associations.
In 2016, the idea of the forum for Industrial Parks evolved into the first international conference InRussia. The key innovation was to invite and unite as co-organizers the leading business associations. Among them: the Association of European Business AEB, the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce AHL, the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia AmCham, the Association of Italian Industrialists Confindustria, the Russian-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry CCIFR, the Japanese Association ROTOBO, the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber CCBLR and other foreign business associations.
In 2016 InRussia was attended by more than 350 participants from 50 regions of Russia and 18 states, including Japan, Belgium, Romania, Italy, Turkey, France, Germany, and Singapore – at that time Russia's main partners in terms of direct industrial investment and localization of production. International production holdings such as Schlumberger, Schneider Electric, Alstom, Renault, REHAU and many others actively participated in the business program as well.
Thanks to this modernization, the organizers managed to ensure the international format of the event and create quantitative parity between Russian and foreign participants.
The conference was not held during the pandemic time. However, the concept of the InRussia event has retained its relevance in the current conditions as a platform for the development of business contacts within the framework of the international industrial dialogue.
In this regard, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, The Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, D.V.Manturov, supported the proposal of AIP of Russia to resume the InRussia international business conference on an annual basis as a platform for presenting Russia's industrial infrastructure to the business community and attracting investors and partners. It was decided to hold the conference annually in various regions of Russia and, also, to take into consideration the wider geography of countries and focus the business program of the conference on the development of industrial and technological cooperation.
Since 2023, the conference has been organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia with the support of the AIP of Russia.
